Social Roots ("we", "our", or "the app") is a personal relationship management application. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Social Roots stores the following data locally on your device only:

• Contact names and optional photos you choose to import or enter manually
• Interaction logs (dates, types, and optional notes you create)
• Plant assignments and relationship health scores
• App preferences and settings (notification schedules, vacation mode, etc.)

2. Data We Do Not Collect

• We do not transmit your contact data to any server
• We do not use analytics or tracking services
• We do not collect your location, device identifiers, or usage telemetry
• We do not display advertisements

3. Device Permissions

The app may request the following permissions:

• Contacts: To import contact names into the app. This data stays on your device and is never uploaded.
• Notifications: To send you local reminders about staying in touch with your connections.
• Camera / Photo Library: To let you add custom photos to your contacts. Images are stored locally.

All permissions are optional. The app can operate in a fully manual mode without contact access.

4. Data Storage

All data is stored in a local database (Isar) on your device. No data is synced to cloud services or external servers. If you delete the app, all data is permanently removed.

5. Third-Party Services

Social Roots does not integrate with third-party analytics, advertising, or data-processing services. The app operates entirely offline.

6. Children's Privacy

Social Roots is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
